Would medium copper brown hair look good on an asian with fair skin?

I got the Ion Color Brilliance permanent hair color in medium copper brown and a level 20 developer. Will that make my naturally dark asian hair a little lighter? i want a medium brown. I talked to the girl that works there and this is what she recommended. Do you think this will work or should I have gotten a level 30 developer instead? Also what other colors would be suitable for asians?
