Would it be alright if I were to adopt two exotic shorthair cats from the same litter at the same time?

My friend and I want to get an apartment in a few years together, and we really want an exotic shorthair cat, but we were wondering if it would be okay to get two cats at the same time from the same litter? Would it be overwhelming financial-wise? Opinions needed! Thanks!
